Biography

Matthew is a commercial and fine art photographer based in central Iowa with over 12 years of professional experience. He obtained Bachelor of Arts degrees in Electronic Communications and Graphic Design from Waldorf College and later a BFA in Photography and New Media from the Kansas City Art Institute.

He has freelanced for many national commercial and editorial clients from B.B. King to Anderson Windows and Doors from book covers to magazine articles. Matthew was recruited by Brownells Inc. to build a photography department and has been the lead photographer since 2008.

He currently is the Photography/Video Production Supervisor at Brownells.

In 2015 Matthew partnered with Chad Coburn to create the At One Media Productions which has sense, created multiple video documentaries revolving around the history and founding of Iowa’s rural water.

Matthew’s fine art work is revolves around the ideas of community and anthropology. Using both analog and digital equipment and printing techniques, Matthew’s work exposes what once was and the artifacts that defined a people or community.

Based in the rolling hills of Central Iowa, he continues to work on both his fine art and commercial photographic endeavors.
